U14 Provincial Team Invites U12 Selects to Practice |

"It was awesome"!
That was the response of the U12 select players who attended the U14 Provincial Team practice session on South Surrey turf. The provincial team doesn't normally practice in South Surrey but Head Coach Ken Garraway, Assistant Coach George Pacheco (Semiahmoo U18 Metro Coach) and Assistant Julia Marcoux felt it was important for the provincial team players to give back to the community. The U14's became the coaches for the practice teaching push passes, step-overs and cruyff turns to the U12 players.
U12 Select Coach, John Connor, states "I thought it was good for our girls to see the standards of the provincial team. Coaches were demanding in a very positive way. I think this had a
positive impact for both groups, it was a great forum for communication and interaction between the girls. Overall, our girls had a great opportunity to observe, meet and train with the best U-14's in the province. Not only that, they
had a brilliant time doing it..... I would encourage more of this in the future".
