Thank you for volunteering to Coach! To be considered for a Coaching position with the Semiahmoo Soccer Club, applicants must fill out the following: A Coaching Application and a Risk Managment Form (A). The Risk Managment Form can be found under Applications and Forms, Team Management. Semiahmoo Soccer strongly supports player and coach development.
Rep Coaches (Metro and Gold, U11-U18)
The deadline for Application is January 21st, 2007. The Rep Coach commitments are as follows: Two practices per week, Saturday team training and a Sunday game. Rep Coaches are also required to attend monthly Coach Development sessions and keep current with BCSA Certification according to the age group. The Club is also requesting that all Rep Coaches provide weekly practice plans and game reports to their technical advisor. Each Rep Coach will be assigned a Technical Advisor. Silver A Coaches (U12-U18)
The deadline for Application is January 30th, 2007. The Silver A Coach commitments are as follows: Two practices per week, Saturday team training and a Sunday game. Silver A Coaches are invited to attend monthly Coach Development sessions and are supported through in-house training to keep current with BCSA Certification according to the age group. Silver B (U11-U18)
The deadline for Application to Coach for Silver B is Apirl 30th. However, Coaches are encouraged to put their name forward at any time if they are interested in coaching this level. The expectations are once a week training and a Sunday game. Coaches are also encouraged to attend the monthly Coaching Development Sessions. Technical Staff will drop-in to practices to assist in player and coach development. Mini (U6-U10)
The application deadline for returning coaches is April 30th. However, Coaches are strongly encouraged to put their name forward at any time prior to Ocober 15th if they are interested in coaching this level. The coaching commitment required at this age group is one practice per week and a game on Sunday. Coaches will be asked to attend coaching development sessions relevant to their age group and pursue certification (Community Coach- Child, Community Coach- Youth). All certification training will be provided by the Club.
The mini age group is a great age to coach with the emphasis being on fun and development. Females interestd in coaching are strongly encouraged to apply. All coaches, beginner or experienced will be offered assistance from the Club's Technical Staff.
