The first phase of the new SSAP 9 turf field construction has begun with perimeter construction safety fencing going up.

Unfortunately, the fencing (for safety reasons) must abut the Fieldhouse on the south side. This means that access to the outside washrooms and changing rooms is only possible from the north side stairs / grass area. Please advise your respective coaches, managers and players.

We all need to be patient during construction, and safety is foremost.

Update June 18th

Please be advised that Surrey Parks is now telling us that the new SSAP 9 turf field is behind schedule by at least 1 month, and we should not plan on an opening before November. The “cause” is contractor labor shortages, and this has affected construction of all 3 new turf fields in Surrey.
