handled on a first come, first serve basis.
Receipt of a player's registration
information, fees and other documents does not necessarily guarantee a player's
team/program placement. Many factors must be
considered in organizing this team sport, including balancing teams (players'
abilities as well as team maximums and number of teams in each age group),
recruitment of volunteer coaches and their availability as well as facility and
field availability. Player registrations
may not be able to be confirmed early on.
Recreation-level players will be notified by mid to late August of their
status.
Players and families can help the process by completing their
registrations (sending registration information as well as fees, ID photos,
proof of birth owed to the Club) in a timely manner.
If you will have difficulty meeting
the deadline above, or require further information, please contact the SSC Registrar:

Program
information -
- This program is available for
those players who are beginning soccer or those who are curious to see
what soccer is all about.
- Practices will be held once
each week, Wednesdays or Thursdays in local elementary school gyms, 5-6pm
or 6-7pm.
- The program is run as a
Jamboree/summer camp format with no assigned teams; the program's main

from each time slot/location will be required to assist with each team for

Capital Facility Fees
A $35.00 Capital Facility Fee is included in the registration fees above (except for U5/6). This fee was approved by the membership at the Club's April 2007 Annual General Meeting and will be used to fund a Capital Facilities Account in order to fund new soccer facilities as well as contribute to improvements to current facilities in South Surrey/White Rock.
Currently, all of the grass facilities in South Surrey and the Turf Field are filled to capacity on weeknights and weekends. In some age groups, Semiahmoo is already turning players away because of this lack of facilities; what will it be like in three years when the 1,000 new homes being built in Grandview are fully occupied?
To address this field shortage crisis, Peace Arch Soccer Club and Semiahmoo Soccer Club are working together with the City of Surrey on expanded and new soccer facilities. This has resulted in the current construction of a second turf field at South Surrey Athletic Park. However, due to budget constraints, the 2 Clubs are contributing approximately $290,000 to pay for a turf warm-up area which will service both turf fields and provide much needed additional field space for training. Such user-based
financial contributions will now be required in order to get the full scope of facilities required.
