Greeting from the City of Surrey's Volunteer Resources,
The 2008 Volunteer Development Program has officially launched! These
professional development workshops are designed to educate volunteers on topics
that will help increase the success of your organization.
Our Fundraising workshop instructor
is Moira Gookstetter (past Director, fund Development Sport BC). She'll share tips on writing grants and discuss
strategies you can us to create new fundraising opportunities.
Volunteer Involvement will be lead
by Sue Sanderson (Manager, Volunteer the Peninsula).
It will be a great opportunity to find out methods you can use to increase your
volunteer base.
We would appreciate any opportunity
you may have to help promote these workshops throughout your executive and other
supporting volunteers. These workshops will mean more skills on your
team, greater possible contributions and leadership abilities.
