A unique academy that provides Semiahmoo players with an opportunity to advance their ball skills, through professional, supervised instruction. This programming will educate and train players on various aspects of the game such as ball control, first touch, movement, possession, quality passing, speed and agility.
The intention of the Club’s Academy programming is to allow girls at an early stage to develop their skills and confidence, based on their ability within their peer group.
U9, U10, U11 Bronze, U11 Select and U12 Bronze
The Semiahmoo Soccer Club Player Academy for U9 – 12 players will run in 6 or 8 week sessions. These sessions will be highly focused on player ball skill development and improvement. This programming is only available to Semiahmoo Soccer Club-registered players.
The next session will start Friday November 7th from 4.30 - 6.00 at SSAP 10. The cost is $60.00 for 6 sessions. Register early to guarantee your spot. A minimum number of participants are required for each class.
The Club will be using Complete Soccer Solution’s (CSS) professional coaches to implement this programming.
U12 Select, U13 - U18
The Club will be providing advanced training sessions for U13 – 18 players on Fridays.
4:30 – 6.00 pm for U12 and U13
6.00 - 7.30 pm for U14 - U18
Cost is $150.00/10 sessions. Drop in sessions are permitted - cost is $15.00 cheque payable to Semiahmoo Soccer Club. No prior arrangements required.
Current session runs from October 10th - December 19th. No class October 31st.
These sessions will be highly focused on developing individual player’s knowledge of the game and how to utilize their skills in situations which require: quick decision-making, with and without the ball; support; pressure play tactics; etc.
The Club will be using Ajit Braich Soccer Academy’s (ABSA) professional coaches to implement this programming.
All of the above academy sessions will be held on the SSAP 10 turf field
There will be a comparably low user fee charged for the above in order to recoup the Club’s Academy costs.
These Academy sessions are purely optional for players. This programming is separate from, and in addition to, the programming already provided by the Club to rep teams and mini/house teams during the week.
Players wishing to attend the Semiahmoo Soccer Club Academy sessions will register individually via the Club’s online registration system .Payment is online using the SSC Payment Processor with PayPal.
