"The most effective approach to improving players is through the coaches” At Semiahmoo Soccer Club, we believe a great soccer trainer is the foundation upon which all successful soccer teams are built. We continuously work to gather the finest soccer trainers from inside and outside of our local soccer community, and then we match the skills of our trainers with the needs of the individual teams. Our trainers are professional, each licensed by the National Coaching Certificate Program (NCCP), and they are dedicated to providing the finest training possible to players of Semiahmoo Soccer Club.
Our Player Development Programs Over the past four years, Semiahmoo Soccer Club has modeled its player/coach development program after CSA club model, while continually expanding its own club programs For the 2006/07 season, Semiahmoo Soccer Club program will provide the following components to its top-level players and teams. - Coaches Assistance: season team training and development plan advice.
- Consultative Coaching: each top-level rep team coaching staff will include a member of the clubs nationally recognized technical staff
- Core Conditioning: preferred pricing and program access to acclaimed core-conditioning programs
- Elite Player Mentoring: individual program and training advisory services towards realizing a successful path to provincial All-Star and NTC programs
- Goalie Training: specialized training for goalies, including technical skill and game decision-making development
- Speed, Agility & Quickness (SAQ): teams are provided with weekly session of SAQ
- Team Training: Elite coaching of the functional aspects of the game with in a team setting
Our Coach Development Programs Coach Certification
The Club will be providing an opportunity for coaches to achieve their “coaching certification” by offering both the Community Coach Youth and Community Coach Senior courses at least twice per year. Check this website for details on times and locations. Online Curriculum
To further enhance the Semiahmoo Soccer Club "Player and Coach Development Program", we provide the following link to a coaching curriculum web site introduced by Ajit Braich. We encourage all coaches to use this tool to further their coaching programs. This curriculum is designed to assist both new and veteran coaches alike, in running an effective developmentally appropriate training session.  To access the curriculum, please go to byte sized coaching . In the top right corner click "Coaches Login" and enter your password and you are in. Take the tour to understand fully how the program works for you. The age groups are to the left. Again, click here and use the password that you have been given by Ajit.
